Coronavirus LIVE updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Rs 20 trillion economic package for the poor in his televised speech to the nation, the details of which will be revealed by Finance Minister Sitharaman today. 

Indians have to be "very vocal about local", said Modi, emphasising the need for self-reliance to own the twenty-first century. "India can become self-reliant through five pillars: Economy, Infrastructure, local system, Demography and Demand," he added.

India coronavirus cases rose to 74,243 as of Tuesday and death toll hit 2,415, according to Worldometer. Globally, 4,328,176  have been infected so far, and the total number of deaths from the disease now stands at 291,239.
