The goal of the program is to provide financial assistance for community organizations for a range of projects including but not limited to real estate, hospitality, health care, government operations, or infrastructure for both commercial and government related projects. CIG Capital (CIG CAP), an alternative investment firm, today announced its COVID Grant and Loan Program (CGLP) to provide assistance to organizations in need of immediate or emergency help and ongoing funding.
Applications for the program are currently being accepted from May 1st to August 1st, 2020.

"This program is perfect for groups that have credit enhancements but need some extra support for their projects to get them through these tough times."

A CIG Capital Grant is allocated funds through CIG Capital Loans to give a portion or all of the loan, without recourse or repayment. The CGLP has less restrictions compared to other grant programs in the market and funding can be approved in as fast as a week, and loans can be closed within 30 days. With this model CIG Capital can fund up to the approved value, typically 60%-80% of the Credit Enhancement value. Half of the loan will be a non-recourse loan (Grant) for the organization and its projects.

Minimum Requirements

Government Projects: Projects either commercial or government related both of a total of $250,000,000.00 of projects and a minimum of $500,000,000.00 in value credit enhancement(s).

Credit Enhancements: Surety bonds, Wrapped Securities, Standby Letter of Credit, Cash collateral Account, Leveraged Portfolio, Credit and Wrapped Hard and In-ground Assets.

Commercial Projects: Projects solely for profit and not related or part of any government entity. A minimum of $500,000,000. of projects and a minimum of $1,000,000,000 in value credit enhancement(s).
