We are talking about Pramila Sharma, Superintendent of Red Cross Old Age Home.

Offering services for 12 years

Red Cross Old Age Home provides shelter to differently-abled children and destitute elders in their ashram. Pramila takes care of the children and elderly living here as a mother for the last 12 years. Therefore, the elders living here along with the mentally handicapped children living in the ashram also fondly call them mummy.

Pramila said that she was associated with the ashram in 2006. His parents also lived with him here and after he passed away the members of the ashram became his family. There are 10 elderly women and 16 men with 4 mental children with disabilities. Apart from this, 6 minor girls are living under the Usha Kiran scheme. Everyone calls them mummy only.

She takes care of everything from food to food

Pramila takes care of all the members living in the ashram, from food to medicine and all the necessary things like a mother. The elders and children do not feel that they are living in an ashram.

Pramila's husband Devendra Sharma was posted at Barwah, a power distribution company, but 18 years ago, he suddenly went somewhere. For a long time, when she did not get any news, she came to the parents with her daughter Vijaya. In 2006, she became the superintendent of the Red Cross old age home, then remained here. He decided to devote his whole life to children and the elderly.
