Ferrari, the world's most powerful brand, says its factories in Maranello and Modena have returned to running at full capacity on May 8. 

The Italian luxury supercar manufacturer had suspended production on March 15 due to the country's lockdown regulations in reaction to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Ferrari cited disruptions to its supply chain as the reason it suspended production on all vehicles, we reported. 

Globally, Covid-19 has killed 282 728 people worldwide, Italy has the third-highest death toll with 30 560 deaths according to the John Hopkins University. 

The company put together a "Back on Track" program that began on April 14 and by May 8 the two facilities in the north of the country are galloping at full pace. 

'The first car to come off the Special Series lines, after seven weeks in which the processing was suspended just a few hours before its completion, was a Ferrari Monza SP2 with a black and grey livery, Ferrari says.

The Monza SP2 is a unique car that's primarily for collectors. It has two seats and no roof, with the V12 engine taken directly from the 812 Superfast. 

To mitigate open-top of the SP2, Ferrari fitted a patented virtual windshield that allows for enjoyment at high speeds. 

It can reach 100kmh/h from standstill in 2.9 seconds. The SP2 does not have a-pillars, and this provides the driver with a completely unobstructed view of the road, which Ferrari likens to that of a Formula 1 car. 

Thus, owners of these vehicles will likely have the best seat in the house when tackling twisty bits of road.

Other models that completed include the 812 GTS spider in Grigio GTS and an F8 Tributo in Rosso Corsa.
