Actor and comedian, Jerry Stiller, born Gerald Isaac Stiller, has died. He was 92 years old.

His son, actor, Ben Stiller, confirmed the news on Twitter on Monday, writing: "I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes. He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad."

The Hollywood star started his long and successful career in showbiz as part of a comedy duo alongside his wife, Anne Meara, who died in 2015. The couple caught the attention of nightclub audiences before making several appearances on radio and TV, as well as Broadway.

He later appeared on Seinfeld as the eccentric father of Jason Alexander’s George, before going on to star in The King of Queens as well as films such as Hairspray and Zoolander, directed by and starring Ben Stiller.

He is survived by Ben, as well as his daughter, Amy Stiller.
