Amid prevalent chaos and uncertainty over access to the essential services and commodities during the lockdown, we bring you the latest updates from Chandigarh.

*As many as 110 Covid-19 cases in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, have been reported from 29 houses, according to official data that goes on to point out that 84 of the total patients are from 12 houses in a neighbourhood, implying that the virus is confined to a limited portion in the colony that houses 60,000 people.
*Government schools in the city are being prepared to be used as quarantine centres. Sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) south had recently written to the UT education department asking them to keep schools ready so that these could be used as quarantine centres.
*Eight fresh cases of Covid-19, including a 22-year old woman, have been reported in Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, state health officials said.
*The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has allocated 2.12 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of wheat to Punjab in advance for April to June under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY).
