When nurse Shashi reached home at Jagadhri, the residents of her colony showered flower petals at her while calling her a corona warrior.
Shashi is posted at the civil hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula and nearly six months ago she was posted in the civil hospital, Yamunanagar.
On seeing her warm welcome by the residents of her locality, Shashi got emotional and expressed joy.
Shashi said such a welcome had boosted her confidence to work and now she was craving to go back to the hospital and serve again.
Shashi said, “I felt extremely proud and happy after receiving such a warm welcome and I do not have any words to express this. When my car stopped in our street, all the residents of colony were waiting for me with garlands. This made me feel that the society is looking at our work and how we are fighting for them.”
“I always remembered my family but due to Covid-19 pandemic, being a nurse I have to work continuously. In such a situation, we do not get time to think about family. Around six months ago, I was posted in the civil hospital, Yamunanagar and then I got transferred to Panchkula. Normally, I returned home on my weekly offs,” Shashi aded.
“I have holidays for two-three days and after that I will return back to my duty. The way I received a welcome at my home, it will definitely boost the confidence of healthcare workers”, further added Shashi.
