Kurukshetra administration, police and health teams at Dhanani village in Ladwa block after a Covid-19 case wa...Read MoreKURUKSHETRA: An 11-year-old girl of Dhanani village in Ladwa block of Kurukshetra district tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, said district civil surgeon Dr Sukhbir Singh.
As per the information, the girl has contact history with a Covid-19 positive woman of Harigarh Bhorakh village in Pehowa block, who works as a cook at a police station in Panchkula, and had tested positive in Panchkula district on May 9.
“The girl has been shifted to the isolation ward at Adesh Medical College and Hospital, Shahabad for treatment”, said Dr Kuldeep.
However, in another development related to the source of coronavirus, Dr Kuldeep said, “The Harigarh Bhorakh woman along with her six family members tested negative for Covid-19 on Monday.”
On Sunday, the Kurukshetra district administration had declared Harigarh Bhorakh as a containment zone in Pehowa block.
On the other side, after receiving the information of a positive case from Dhanani village, the administrative teams of Ladwa sub-division in Kurukshetra district, including SDM Ladwa Anil Yadav and DSP Harpreet Singh reached the village for sealing.
SDM Anil said, “After a positive case of Covid-19 was reported, Dhanani village has been sealed and declared as containment zone. The health teams initiated the door-to-door survey for screening health of residents and contacts are being traced. The villagers will be provided essential services at doorsteps and sanitization of entire village is being done.”
In Kurukshetra district, so far, the total number of Covid-19 positive cases recorded is three, of which two patients got discharged on April 23 and 24 respectively; and one gis an active case.
