After two in bank test positive, 15 quarantined

GHAZIABAD: Four people tested positive for Covid-19 in Ghaziabad on Sunday. The district has 137 cases now, of which 51 are active.
On Sunday, 15 employees of Allahabad Bank’s Navyug Market branch were sent to quarantine after two employees tested positive in the past few days. Officials said a woman employee from Delhi had tested positive four days back, while an office boy from Chaupala was tested positive on Sunday.
He was admitted to ESIC Hospital in Sahibabad.
Meanwhile, a youth from Bhowapur, a woman residing in Vaishali and a woman from Vijay Nagar also tested positive. All three were in the chain of contact of Covid-19 positive patients.
Moreover, a women constable of Delhi Police from Dasna has also been confirmed to be infected and has been admitted to ESIC Hospital in Sahibabad.
Officials said the constable was examined in Delhi and has been listed there, so it will not be added to Ghaziabad’s tally. On Sunday, eight patients admitted to ESI hospital were discharged after their second tests came negative.
Meanwhile, 40 employees of Ghaziabad fire department have been in home quarantine in Vaishali for over 10 days after two of its staff were found to be positive.
