Lockdown: Chennai-Delhi train schedule announced

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami may have urged the Centre not to run trains and flights to the state till July 31, but Southern Railway has announced schedule for the AC trains on Chennai-New Delhi-Chennai routes.
The Chennai-New Delhi train will depart at 6.35am on Fridays and Sundays and Delhi-Chennai train will depart at 4pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The trains will stop at Vijayawada, Warangal, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra.
In a statement, railways said linen and blankets will not be provided onboard and passengers should bring their own food. The AC first class, AC 2 Tier and AC 3 Tier coaches will not have curtains.
Railways have also mentioned that district administration and police should allow passengers holding confirmed e-tickets for the trains to reach the stations.
