Teenage girl raped and murdered in Agra, body found in farm

Cops investigating the scene of crime on Monday.
AGRA: A teenage girl was murdered and her body was left in an agricultural plot of a remote village in Agra, after she was allegedly raped. The village is located some 5km from Saiyan police station, whose cops reported being alerted of the crime at around 10.15am on Monday.
“The girl had gone to the farm at around 6.15am to relieve herself. When she did not return home after nearly three hours, her relatives started searching for her and found her body lying naked in the field with an abdomen injury,” said Kheragarh CO Pradeep Kumar.
The victim was a student of Class VIII and was the youngest of three siblings. After their father died and mother went missing, the three sisters had come to live with their uncle.
CO Kumar said, “Prima facie, it looks she was strangled after being raped. Her undergarments and other clothes have been recovered from the spot by a forensics team. The family had no enmity, neither have they expressed suspicion about any person in the village. However, based on the written complaint of her uncle, an FIR has been lodged under IPC sections 302 (murder), 376 (rape) and the POCSO Act.”
The girl’s body has been sent for autopsy.
The victim’s uncle said, “She was brutally murdered after rape. I want capital punishment for the perpetrator.”
