The Union Home Secretary has written to all the states urging them to stop the migrant exodus. The home secretary in its order also urged states to stop migrants walking near railway tracks in order to avoid any accidents. In the order, the home secretary said if migrants are found walking on roads or rail tracks, they should be taken to shelter homes. A meeting with all the state chief secretaries took place on Sunday and the decisions were announced on Monday morning.
