Bootlegger succumbs to Covid-19 infection

Palanpur: A 28-year-old bootlegger who had tested positive for Covid-19 died on Saturday at the Himmatnagar civil hospital. The deceased Pawan Shukla (28) was arrested during a police raid in Gambhoi village in Prantij taluka on April 30.
He had tested positive for cornavirus on May 6 and died on Saturday, said Dr M N Shah, medical officer of Himmatnagar civil hospital in Sabarkantha.
Eight cops involved in the raid were put under home quarantine for two weeks. But they have all tested negative.
