MUMBAI: A 60-year-old Covid patient who was "depressed" allegedly hanged himself to death at SevenHills Hospital in Andheri (east) on Saturday.
Around noon, a medical officer doing the rounds found the patient missing. He was was found hanging from the ceiling of the terrace around 2.45pm. The hospital authorities alerted the police.
"Doctors said the man seemed depressed," said senior inspector of MIDC police station, Jagdish Shinde.
An accidental death report has been filed. The patient was admitted on May 7 after he tested positive.
