Kalyan: Woman in critical state operated free of cost

The woman was hesistant to get admitted as they had no money
KALYAN: A private hospital's doctors saved a 26-year-old migrant worker, whose husband did not have money and was hesitant to get her admitted there despite severe pain. The doctors, on learning of her critical condition, decided to bear expenses for the operation and medicines and arranged food for the family.
The family was planning to walk to Bihar and get her treated there.
Sadhana Vishwakarma (22), her two-year-old daughter and husband Rahul (26) reached here on March 4. Her husband worked as a painter but since the lockdown, the family depended on a local NGO and neighbours, and planned to leave on Saturday.
A day before, when Sadhana had severe abdomen pain, Rahul approached Meera hospital. Dr Anita Mathew found Sadhana was pregnant and advised a sonography at Sunrise Sonography Center. It revealed about 1.5 litres of blood in the abdomen.
Dr Anita informed Dr Nitin Zabak and Dr Gautam Ganvir and they decided to perform the operation free.
