India is a democratic country, where the government elects people every 5 years. Every year different parties form their government in different states. Today there is a Bharatiya Janata Party government at the center. We are going to tell you about India's political parties and their assets, which you will be surprised to know about.

Now these figures have been released by the Association of Democratic Reforms. The report is based on assets and liabilities declared by national parties from 2004-05 to 2015-16.

BJP is the richest national party in the country. According to 2015-16, the declaration of the party's assets is worth 894 crores.

The Congress has assets of around 759 crores in this period and is second in the list.

Bahujan Samaj Party is a political party with universal justice, freedom, equality, and brotherhood. According to ADR figures, Mayawati's party BSP is at number three and its total assets are 559 crores.

At number four is CPM. CPM India has a national political party. This party has assets of 438 crores.

TMC has been reported at number five in the figures. Mamta Banerjee is its president. This party was born by dissolution from the Indian National Congress. The leader of this party is Mamta Banerjee who has assets of about 45 crores.
