Representative imageTHIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Respective police stations will issue travel passes for inter-district travel if there are difficulties in availing passes online, said state police chief Loknath Behera.
Behera said the applicant can take a copy of the model of the pass available on the police website or Facebook page and submit it to station house officer (SHO) concerned after filling it up in the prescribed format.
The applicant need not affix a photograph with the application; only a register will be maintained at the police station. The applicant will have to sign the register after showing his valid ID proof when the pass is issued. Also, special passes will be issued to those who are working in shops and other private establishments in other districts. These passes will be issued by respective SHOs.
The state police chief instructed Janamaithri police to keep a watch on those who returned from red-zone districts of other states to ensure that they are not violating quarantine restrictions. The police chief said that such persons will face legal action.
