Banks' loans rose 6.7 per cent in the two weeks to April 24 from a year earlier, while deposits rose 9.8 per cent, the Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement showed on Friday.

Outstanding loans fell Rs 69,340 crore to Rs 102.69 lakh crore in the two weeks to April 24.

Non-food credit fell Rs 67,910 crore to Rs 102.17 lakh crore, while food credit fell Rs 1,430 crore to Rs 52,643 crore.

Bank deposits fell Rs 3,932 crore to Rs 137.11 lakh crore in the two weeks to April 24.
