2021 Chevrolet Camaro Reportedly Getting Wild Cherry Design Package

While no one outside GM knows exactly what the future holds for the Chevrolet Camaro, the pony car should stick around for at least two more years. Currently, it is being prepped for the 2021MY with a few updates.

Quoting a fleet order guide, MuscleCarsAndTrucks reports that the Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang rival will drop the Shock and Steel Edition and launch with the so-called Wild Cherry Design Package for 2021.

With official images to be released, the alleged information claims that it will actually get two versions of the aforementioned pack, and both of them will become available only after selecting the Wild Cherry Tintcoat premium color.

The Wild Cherry Design Package 1, or PDL as it’s apparently known internally, also requires the RS Package and is available for the coupe on all trim levels bar the 1LT and ZL1, as well as all convertible models save for the ZL1. Add-ons include the black stripes, 20-inch forged wheels with black center caps, Camaro fender logos and special floor mats.

Choosing the Wild Cherry Design Package 2, or the PDN, will get customers all of the above, plus Carbon Flash Metallic ground effects, silver, black or black metallic center stripe, black fuel filler cap with carbon fiber insert, and sueded knee pads on the inside.

Besides the revised color palette and introduction of the new optional package, the 2021 Camaro is understood to feature an upgraded infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a standard wireless charging pad in the 3LT and 2SS. Another novelty will be the launch of the 10-speed auto in the Camaro SS with the 1LE Track Performance Package, which is currently available with a 6-speed stick shift.

We will find out more about the 2021 Camaro when it premieres, in the second half of the year.
