Coronavirus India update: The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 56,383 and 1,889 people have died from the disease, according to Worldometer data. With the continual rise in Covid -positive cases, India has jumped spots to become the 14th most affected country of the world by number of cases. Rising cases in Maharashtra and Gujarat continue to be a cause for concern in the country. Meanwhile, among 10 most affected Indian states, Punjab and Tamil Nadu have been doubling their count of cases at the fastest face.
Coronavirus world update: Globally, 3,917,532 people have been infected, and the total number of deaths from the disease stands at 270,720.
