Police raid uncovers explosives, ammo stockpile in Innaloo home
An Innaloo man has been arrested after police allegedly discovered explosives, guns and more than 900 rounds of ammunition during a search on a home in the suburb.
The 30-year-old man was charged with 10 firearm and drug offences following the raid of a property on Odin Road, Innaloo, by the organised crime squad Tuesday last week.

During the search, detectives allegedly discovered two guns, ammunition, a silencer, a stick of explosives, more than $12,000 in cash, a canister of pepper stray and drug paraphernalia.
A broken phone was also seized for further analysis from a nearby property during a search of the area. Police allege one of the occupants of the home tossed the device over the fence.
"A damaged mobile phone was seized from a neighbouring property after the area was searched due
to one of the occupants of the residence acting suspiciously near the fence at the time the detectives
arrived," a police spokesman said.
The 30-year-old man was charged with:
- Two counts of possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation.
- Possessing a firearm/ammunition without a license.
- Possession of contrivance, known as a silencer.
- Possession of dangerous goods without a licence.
- Wilfully destroying evidence.
- Possessing a controlled weapon.
- Failing to provide and use adequate storage facilities to ensure the safety of ammunition and firearms.
- Possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
- Possessing drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
He appeared in Perth Magistrates Court Wednesday last week and was refused bail.
He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court next on May 27.
