Anurag Basu's upcoming directorial is Ludo which is an anthology with several leading Bollywood actors being a part of it. Yes, the ensemble cast includes Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Asha Negi and Rohit Saraf. The film was all set to hit the screens on April 24, 2020, however, due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, it has been postponed indefinitely. There were hints that among other films, Ludo is likely to get a digital release.

Now as per reports in Pinkvilla, the producer of the film, Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of T Series is in talks with two digital platforms. Talking about it, a source told the entertainment portal, "Bhushan Kumar is currently in talks with two digital giants to release a few of his films online. Once the monies are agreed upon, Ludo will be one of the first films from the banner that will be released on the web. Currently, it's all in the discussion stage and the modalities are being worked out."

While another source shared to the portal, "It's a good move by the makers. Big films can't release online because they won't get the money they need to generate the revenue they have invested. For smaller films, it's easier and more profitable given the scenario."

With this film, Anurag has worked with Abhishek, Rajkummar, Aditya, Pankaj, Sanjay and Fatima for the very first time. The poster for the film was released last year along with the title which is Ludo.
