Punjab: Barnala district Red Cross Society organises blood donation camp

BARNALA: Barnala district Red Cross Society organised a blood donation camp at civil hospital on the occasion of World Red Cross Day on Friday. Tributes were also paid to Red Cross founder Jean Henri Dunant and Bhai Ghanaiya Ji.
Deputy commissioner-cum-president of Red Cross Society Tej Partap Singh Phoolka lauded the efforts of NGOs Asra Social Welfare Club and Sant Nirankari Mission and other organisations supporting the Red Cross Society for blood donation camp. "Blood donation is a noble cause and such efforts are a boon during the current situation", said the DC.
On this occasion, 45 units of blood were collected. Meanwhile, masks and sanitisers were distributed to asha workers.
