Delhi hospital staff among 4 to test Covid +ve in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: Four people, including two from Khoda, one from Rajnagar Extension and a woman from Sahibabad, tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
Officials said that while the three from Khoda and Rajnagar Extension have been admitted to ESIC Hospital in Sahibabad, the 35-year-old woman from Sahibabad has been referred to LLRM Medical College in Meerut.
According to health department officials, the woman, who stays in Shyam Park Colony, is a kidney patient and has been undergoing dialysis at a private hospital. Her Covid-19 test was conducted at a private lab. After she was referred to Meerut, four members of her family were quarantined.
The 41-year-old staying in Rajnagar Extension runs a shop in Delhi. After he was admitted to ESIC Hospital, his family members were quarantined.
Apart from them, the infection has been confirmed for two others, one aged 35 years and the other, 46 years old, living in Khoda.
While one is a staff at a Delhi hospital, the other, was in the contact chain of a person who had tested positive earlier.
Their family members have been quarantined.
All areas are being sanitised by the health department and the society in Rajnagar Extension is being sealed, officials said.
With the latest cases, the number of coronavirus patients in the district has increased to 120.
Of them, 56 have gone home from hospitals after recovery and there are 62 active patients in the district now. So far, two people have died with Covid-19 in Ghaziabad.
Officials said that out of the four fresh cases, Covid-19 test of only one person was conducted at a government hospital here. Three others were tested at private facilities.
