What aboutTT hotels?

THE EDITOR: I am a small hotel owner in Trinidad and I want to know why the Government isn’t helping hotels in Trinidad. It is giving Tobago hotels grants to fix their places. So why can’t we be given the same opportunity?

I have a registered hotel, I pay a hotel licence, I pay hotel accommodation taxes to the Government monthly. I contribute to the economy, so why treat me this way?

Tourism does not only exist in Tobago, Mr Prime Minister. Small hotels in Trinidad provide a service as well to both foreigners and locals.

Consider levelling the playing field and give those small hotels that pay accommodation taxes the opportunity to access the covid19 grants to uplift thier premises as well.
