NEW DELHI:
HUL with over 15.88 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.
Shares of
YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.42 crore), Uttam Value Steel (number of shares traded: 2.09 crore), Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 2.06 crore), RBL Bank (number of shares traded: 1.27 crore), Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.92 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.86 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.73 crore), ITC (number of shares traded: 0.71 crore) and BHEL (number of shares traded: 0.67 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
HUL (Rs 30,367.27 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by
Bajaj Finance (Rs 402.78 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 364.22 crore), HCL Tech (Rs 349.53 crore), RIL (Rs 278.28 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 191.02 crore), RBL Bank Ltd. (Rs 178.91 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 169.46 crore), SBI (Rs 151.38 crore) and IndusInd Bank (Rs 146.55 crore) .
The NSE Nifty index was trading 30.05 points down at 9240.85 , while BSE Sensex was down 124.19 points at 31561.56 around 09:48AM (IST).
In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 3.35 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 2.25 per cent), Axis Bank (up 2.20 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 2.20 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 1.99 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 3.03 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 2.89 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 2.45 per cent), Britannia Industries (down 2.33 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.30 per cent) were the top losers.
