Impacts of the covid 19 pandemic, students are finding ways to shine.

Two students at pleasant valley high school in chico have been selected regional winners in the annual "directing change" film contest.

This is a clip from their entry called "our battle", focusing on suicide prevention.

Vincent zachary munoz and jesus chavez- hernandez created the film.

Nearly 35 hundred students entered the competition.

The statewide winners will be announced may 19th.
