The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India climbed to 52,952 on Thursday morning, while 1,783 people have died due to the deadly infection even as the country remains in the third phase of the nationwide lockdown with relaxed restrictions.
India witnessed 89 new deaths, while another 3,601 people tested positive for the deadly infection in the lats 24 hours, according to the latest numbers released by the ministry of health and family welfare.
"Thus, around 28.83 per cent patients have recovered so far," a senior health ministry official said.
