Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Buddha Purnima celebrations on Thursday, May 7. In collaboration with the International Buddhist Association, the Ministry of Culture is organizing a virtual prayer program with participation from Buddhist associations around the world. It is being said that PM will also deliver the keynote speech on this occasion in the morning.

Tomorrow, between 8 am and 9 pm, PM Modi will address. This will be PM Modi's first address after Lockdown-3. It is expected that during his address, he can present the things related to the lockdown.

The event is being held to honor the Corona Warriors. PM Modi will give his views while addressing this. The function will also be attended by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel and Union Minister Kiran Rijiju.

The prayer ceremony will be shown live on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. These ceremonies will be held at the Holy Garden Lumbini, Nepal, Mahabodhi Temple, Bodh Gaya, India, Moolagandha Kuti Vihar, Sarnath, India, Parinirvan Stupa, Kushinagar, India, Anuradhapura Stupa Complex, Sri Lanka, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, Namo Stupa, Nepal's other popular Buddhist sites Will be done.

Earlier, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla greeted the countrymen on Wednesday on the eve of Buddha Purnima and said that Lord Buddha's message of truth, peace, and compassion will always guide humanity.
