Update at 10am: UT administration seals Bapu Dham colony, declares it a containment zone. Authorities appeal shops and establisments not to engage any employee from this area for now.
*The Covid-19 count touched 124 in Chandigarh on Wednesday, with nine more people testing positive. Eight patients are from Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, and one from Sector 56.
*From Thursday, shops, including those selling liquor, in Mohali can stay open from 7am to 3pm.
*Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has chosen PGI as one of the centres for trial of convalescent plasma therapy in patients with serious coronavirus infection.
*With Punjab set to launch doorstep delivery of liquor from Thursday, the state government clarified that this service will continue only till the duration of the lockdown.
