An over ground worker (OGW) of Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit was arrested on Thursday in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

The OGW was identified as 22-year-old Raqib Alam. He was associated with Hizbul terrorist Haroon, who was killed by security forces in an encounter in January.

Raqib Alam was picked up by a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Army.

During questioning, Raqib Alam confessed that he had hidden a pistol and a wireless set given to him by Hizbul terrorists. He was taken to the spot in Shiva village from where the pistol and wireless set were recovered.

Further interrogation of the suspect was underway, police said.
