“The man had diabetes and showed symptoms of the virus over a week ago. He was admitted to Horizon Prime hospital on Friday and died on Tuesday morning,” said Dr Ram Kendre, in-charge for cases in Thane.
On Tuesday, the city recorded 40 cases. The total number of cases in the city is now 496.
So far, 104 people who have recovered from the infection have been discharged.
