The United Nations (UN) has warned of the closure of large-scale educational institutions posing a unique threat to children's education and well-being. UN-affiliated organizations have issued guidelines to reopen schools safely. Explain that in most countries the schools were closed after the risk of coronavirus increased.

Guidelines prepared by UNESCO, UNICEF, World Bank, and the World Food Program have suggested reopening schools keeping in mind the interest of children. This advice has been given on the basis of an assessment of sentiment and threats related to education, public health, and socioeconomic factors.

The guidelines state that so far there has not been sufficient evidence to have a significant impact on infection transfer rates due to the closure of schools. But the closure of schools has already known adverse effects on children's safety and learning. This can affect the efforts made in recent decades to increase children's education and in the worst case it can also have the opposite effect, ie the phase of not sending children to school may return again.

154 crore children are more affected by the marginalized affected

According to the UNESCO assessment, the closure of educational institutions globally has affected about 154 crore children. The guidelines state that the closure of schools will affect the future of the children, especially the marginalized sections of the society, who depend on schools for their education, health, safety, and nutrition.

Apart from nutritional, health, and hygiene services, these children also get mental health and psychological support in schools and get many benefits including the dramatic threat of violence, conception at a young age.
