Share market update: Pharma shares rise; Sun Pharma gains nearly 2%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading in the positive zone in Thursday's session with their sectoral index trading higher.

Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 1.57 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 1.41 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 1.28 per cent), Biocon (up 0.58 per cent) and Cipla (up 0.2 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.53 per cent up at 9276.2 around 12:05PM .

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down -59.85 points at 9211.05 , while the BSE Sensex was -214.18 points at 31471.57 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of HUL, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RBL Bank, BHEL, SBI, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and HCL Tech were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
