Proper Revision
Revision is one of the most important aspects to perform well. Serious aspirants must have completed syllabus and started revision of important topics by now. Go through the already studied topics and chapters when you do revision, so that you will be able to remember it for a longer time. However, the following points can be of help for better preparation in the remaining weeks.
Follow a reputed source
Start the preparations with NCERT books. Undeniably, NCERT books form the basis of JEE Main and JEE Advanced. These basic books form a good conceptual base and are easy to understand. Identify the topics subject wise you have difficulties in remembering the formulae of solving questions. Follow question banks from a reputed source and solve them in a manner which helps in efficient practice for the JEE Main 2020.
Attempting online mock tests
Rigorous revision and attempting several mock tests will help you get thorough with subjects and concept clarification and also keep you well updated with the current trend and pattern of JEE Main exam. Online mock tests provide access to previous year papers, online mock tests, doubt clearing sessions, and expert opinion that will provide a real time analysis. Such practice has been found to be quite useful and students tend to learn from their mistakes and hence avoid repeating them.
Study Important Formulae & make short notes
While preparing, make short notes of important points so that it is easier to revise later. Also make a separate note of important formulae, which are an important tool to solve the questions easily. As most of the questions in Physics/ Mathematics are formula-based, it is important to stay in touch with the same for a better score in the exam.
Proper Selection of Questions
Always attempt theoretical/fact-based questions first and then questions which require calculation. It’s human nature that if you attempt a few confident questions in the beginning then you feel loaded with positive energy which increases your efficiency and speed for the rest of the paper. It is advisable to avoid lengthy numerical questions in the first 10 or 15 minutes of the exam.
Time Management
Right Strategy and Time Management play a vital role in deciding the rank for an aspirant. The remaining weeks should be wisely used for revision, maintaining speed & increasing accuracy to solve a particular problem, identifying the weaker areas and correcting them.
Finally, it is the relative performance that will matter on the exam day. So, put in your best performance and you will ace JEE Main 2020.
