Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that all inter-state boundaries of the state would be sealed with immediate effect by the state government to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons from the inter-state boundaries of the state.

Making a major decision in the review meeting on Wednesday, Gehlot said that there has been an unprecedented increase in infection cases in many states of the country in the past. In the last three days, 10,000 cases have been reported across the country. He said that it has been decided to seal the borders due to the possibility of entry of people from other states of the country in large numbers without permission.

The Chief Minister said, in this hour of crisis, protecting the lives of the people is our top priority. Gehlot said that inter-state traffic will be allowed only by strictly adhering to the guidelines and conditions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

He instructed that for this, the Chief Secretary should write to the Chief Secretaries of all other states to inform them that only those people of the category permitted under the guidelines of the Union Home Ministry will be allowed to come to Rajasthan, which all its conditions Will complete and get the prior consent of Rajasthan Government.

Medical Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma, Chief Secretary DB Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajiv Swaroop, Director General of Police Bhupendra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Medical Rohit Kumar Singh, Chief and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
