Two youths killed over love affairs in Ranchi, Chatra

Ranchi: Two persons were murdered in separate incidents in Ranchi and Chatra recently.
A minor girl allegedly beat a youth Sachin Gope (24) to death on Tuesday. Police said Gope had an affair with the girl for the past two years. For the last couple of days, he had kept the girl in a room at his relative’s house in Bero.
Bero DSP Sanjay Kumar said, “The girl said she was nervous about earning a bad name. She suspected that Gope was trying to evade marriage with her, so she hit him with an iron rod leading to his death. Police have recovered the rod.”
In another incident, one Ranjit Yadav was murdered in Chatra district by the brother of a girl he was in relationship with.
Chatra SP Rishab Jha said, “The girl told the police that she called Yadav on the direction of her brother. The body was recovered from a forest near Chatra-Simaria Road on Wednesday.”
Yadav had gone missing from Monday evening. His parents had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. Police said the brother of the girl was assisted by an accomplice in the murder.
