Shoppers are buying fresh meats for a fraction of the price as supermarkets lower the cost of perishable products across Australia due to excess stock.
Australian supermarkets are discounting items progressively through the day, with 20, 40, 60, 80 and even 97 per cent slashed off the retail prices.
Coles and Woolworths have been offering meat reductions as demand begins to slow down after panic buyers wiped out shelves at the height of the coronavirus pandemic in March.

A Woolworths spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia: 'We're seeing livestock prices at an all time high due to the drought and the subsequent recovery as farmers rebuild their herds.
'It's really important we continue supporting our farmers but also keep affordable prices for customers who are spending more time cooking at.
'We've worked hard to absorb the rising prices, so our customers can continue to access great value in these uncertain times.'
Major meat supplier of high-end restaurants, Haverick Meats has been selling quality produce to everyday Australians for half price.
The supplier opened its doors to the public since the hospitality industry was forced to shut its doors indefinitely under the tough coronavirus restrictions.
'It's pretty much all 50 per cent off, and all this meat used to go to our best restaurants. Super high-end meat is quite affordable now because we're trying to move the stock,' CEO Peter Andrews said.

Retail expert Dr Gary Mortimer suggested once the excess stock is gone, customers can expect a price rise across produce.
In recent weeks, bargain hunters have been sharing pictures of their incredible grocery hauls on social media after snapping meats at discounted prices.
One shopper purchased 32 sausages and 16 burger patties, 25 pack of chicken burgers, 3kg beef silverside, 1kg chicken mince, 20 skinless sausages, 600g of chorizo and 12 beef patties for less than $50.

'I've never found a bargain. This afternoon, right before closing time I went to Coles and found all of this. It was a total of $8.20, saving $147.36,' they said.

Another shopper was very happy with her purchases after getting sausages from $1.25 per pack, steaks from $5 and prepackaged meals from $1.40

Other customers purchased beef mince from 50 cents, lean mince from 37 cents, sausages from $1, and even a pack of crumbed chicken patties for 50 cents, normally retailed at $10.50.
There are no set day for markdowns as products go out of date constantly.
The best times to snap up a bargain varies at every store, but shoppers say the markdowns usually take place in the morning, early afternoons or within one hour before closing time.
Last month, a Coles spokesperson said: 'We saw demand for meat increase astronomically in March as customers started to self-isolate and cook at home more often.
'As demand begins to normalise some stores have extra stock to clear, some have a lot and some have a little.'
