Telangana SSC exams in May; Inter paper evaluation begins from today

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the decision on holding Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams this month will be taken following permissions from the high court. The valuation work for the Intermediate answer papers will start from Wednesday, he added.
The CM said the remaining eight SSC papers will be conducted in this month with the permission of Hight Court. Rao said we have requested the honourable High Court to allow us conducting the examination we hope HC will give a positive direction to complete the exams. Only exams for three papers of SSC were held before the lockdown.
He said the Intermediate valuation would begin from Wednesday itself so as to ensure that the results would be released in time for students to take admissions in the national institutions.
“We are keen to conduct the exams in May itself by taking all precautions. However, a decision will be taken following permission given by the HC,” said Rao. However, the CM declared that spot evaluation for intermediate exam papers will commence from May 6.
The CM extended the lockdown till May 29 across the state in order to contain the spread of coronavirus. Curfew from 7pm to 7am will continue during this period. However, all liquor shops will be opened except for those in containment zones from Wednesday from 10am to 6pm.
