Covid-19 in India: State-wise tally of coronavirus cases

NEW DELHI: The coronavirus cases count in India is close to half-lakh mark now. According to the latest update by health ministry, there are a total of 49,391 cases. Of this, 33,514 are active cases, 14,183 have been cured. The death toll stands at 1,694. For the first time, on Tuesday, India recorded daily deaths in triple digits.
The worst-affected state continues to be Maharashtra with a total of 15,525 cases. Gujarat and Delhi follow next with 6,245 and 5,104 cases, respectively. Meanwhile, Telangana has extended lockdown till May 29. A look at the how the states fare in the number of cases.
