Private offices to open in Lucknow from today, but with riders

LUCKNOW: Ending the 42-day wait since the start of the lockdown, Lucknow administration on Tuesday gave permission to opening of private offices and firms, though with terms and conditions.
The offices will operate with only 33% of the staff.
Issuing the 17-point guidelines, DM Lucknow Abhishek Prakash said private offices in the district will open from 7am to 7pm. Any violation of the guidelines might invite legal action.

First, manager/owner/ nodal head of the private office will have to submit an undertaking on the letter-head of the company/office/factory with the additional district magistrate (ADM), land acquisition at the old LDA office in Lalbagh.
Second, a copy of the undertaking will be submitted to the police station concerned and another will be pasted outside the private office, said the DM. The undertaking can also be sent online to ADM’s office.
The office staff will have to wear the face mask while a sufficient stock of the masks will have to kept in the office too. The manager/owner of the office will be responsible for maintaining social distancing inside the office and ensure that same is maintained by the staff during travel.
No gathering will be allowed during shift or lunch breaks, along with the restriction on assembly of more than five persons. All the entry and exit points in the offices will have sanitizers, thermal scanners, with touchfree service. Sanitization of all points inside the premises will have to be done regularly.
The guidelines clearly state that people above 65 years, those suffering from health issues and pregnant women will not be allowed to come to the office. All those coming to work will have to install Arogya Setu app on their smartphones.
Further, disinfectant will be sprayed at least thrice a day in the cafeteria, washrooms, furniture, and entire office premises. All the vehicles and instruments entering the office premises will have to be sterilised.
No chewing of paan masala, tobacco and spitting will be allowed inside or outside the office premises. The offices will keep a list with the names of hospitals and clinics treating Covid-19 cases. Visitors to the offices will have to sign the undertaking along with their designation.
The undertaking forms are available at the office of ADM LA-II and online. The district administration has spread it in public domain so that it reaches out to the people easily.
