HISAR: A woman died at a village near Uklana town of Hisar district on Monday. Her live-in partner alleged an honour killing. The village sarpanch said she died of electric shock sustained while ironing clothes.
In his police complaint, the man said he had an affair with the deceased for last three years and that her family was against their marriage.
He said the woman had come to Hisar in March and they had recorded statements at Hisar Sadar police station, saying they wished to stay in a live-in relationship. On March 20, he had got court affidavits, expressing their desire to stay together.
He also submitted a video in which the woman said they are living with each other on their own free will.
