* Update at 9.20am: Total number of Covid-19 positive cases in India rises to 49,391 including 33,514 active cases, 1694 deaths, 14,182 cured/discharged and 1 migrated: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
* Update at 8.15am: Five more people test Covid-19 positive in Bhavnagar. First time two people of temple town Palitana tested positive. Total tally of Bhavnagar reaches 81
*Gujarat breached the 400 Covid cases-a-day mark on Tuesday with 441 patients added in a matter of 24 hours. It was also the highest death toll in a single day with 49 patients losing their lives.
*Gujarat’s total Covid patients count is now at 6,245 whereas death toll is 368.
*68 pharmaceutical firms have been granted permission by Gujarat Food and Drug Control Administration (FDCA) to manufacture HCQ tablets in the state.
*Ahmedabad city recorded 336 new cases and 39 deaths on Tuesday — an increase of 33% in cases and 50% in terms of deaths as compared to Monday.
