Chandan Kar cares for stray animals

Actor Chandan Kar is known for his love for animals. He, recently, contributed a sum for feeding of stray animals during the lockdown. He donated the amount to an organisation working for animal welfare in the city. “As the lockdown has led to closure of all eateries, hotels and food stalls in the city, these stray animals have been facing a lot of problem in getting their food. It was good to know that several organisations are working to feed these animals and the state government has also allocated special funds for feeding strays. I contributed some money towards this activity.”

Chandan had also provided funds to a voluntary organisation just after cyclone Fani hit Odisha last year causing large-scale devastation. He is also known to adopt animals in the Nandankanan zoo under its animal adoption scheme.
