Karnataka reports 19 new Covid-19 cases, tally touches 692

BENGALURU: With nineteen more people testing positive for coronavirus in Karnataka on Wednesday, the total number of cases in the state has gone up to 692.
Nine of the new patients are women. The new cases include two children: an 11-year-old girl from Dakshina Kannada and a 10-year-old boy from Bagalkot.
In Bengaluru, two contacts - a 40-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman - of an infected labourer from Mangammana Palya have tested positive.
Thirteen of the new cases are from Badami in Bagalkot district, three Dakshina Kannada, two Bengaluru and one from Kalaburagi.
With the sudden spike, the cases in Bagalkot increased from 35 to 48.
An 18-year-old woman from Badami with Influenza-like Illness (ILI) tested positive for Covid-19. All other 18 new patients are contacts of Covid-19 positive persons.
