SALEM: A 30-year-old man was found dead, with his throat slit, at his home in Salem city on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Abishek Maran of Pandu Nagar in Maniyanur. He owned a truck.
His family members alerted the Annadhanapatty police. The police, who registered a case and began inquiries, said the reason for the murder was yet to be ascertained.
The body was sent to the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
