Tom Cruise is on the mission to make yet another mission impossible, possible.
When the coronavirus lockdown stops you from shooting films around the world, you venture into the outer space. Or that’s what we would do if we could make impossible missions, possible.
That’s what we can infer from Tom Cruise and NASA’s decision. Looks like Mr Jack Reacher, is this time reaching out for space for his next film.
Known for his overachieving missions and unrealistic action – Tom Cruise, is on the mission to make yet another mission impossible, possible. Based on the multibillion-dollar International Space Station orbiting 250 miles from Earth. The head of NASA on Tuesday confirmed that the space agency is working towards making a movie with the star in the outer space.
Not a first, previously a few films have been shot on the station including, the 2002 IMAX documentary and space entrepreneur and traveller Richard Garriot’s science fiction film “Apogee of Fear.” The space station has also been opened to some high-paying tourists over the years. But Tom Cruise will be the first-ever actor to experience extra-terrestrial travel.
“We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality,” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said in a tweet Tuesday.

A NASA spokesperson, also confirmed to CNN Business that the actor will be launched into outer space and will stay aboard the International Space Station. The mission in most likelihood is being undertaken by Elon Musk's SpaceX. The company for the last few years has been working on developing the capability to fly humans to and from the station.
Though the schedule of the film is still not clear. The film is expected to be a narrative feature and action film, the first to be shot in the outer space, as reported by The Deadline.
The film will surely add to the thrilling list of action films starring Tom Cruise and will be a one of a kind experience for the audience as well as the actor.
We are awaiting more information on the same.
