Gurgaon: Three more positive cases of
Covid-19 were recorded in the district on Tuesday. Gurgaon has the highest number of cases (87) in the state.
According to a senior health official, “The three patients are residents of Gurgaon and their samples were collected after they had come in contact with Covid-19 patients. While one patient is a resident of Surat Nagar in old Gurgaon, the second is living in Islampur. The third is from Sector 10.”
“We have increased containment and buffer zones to trace more Covid-19 cases in a bid to curb the virus’s spread. We have increased surveillance in the city and restricted movements as the district is reporting more Covid-19 cases,” said Dr JS Puniya, chief medical officer, Gurgaon.
The health department sent 266 samples for testing on Tuesday. Around 1,000 people are under surveillance in the district and the reports of 384 samples are awaited. So far, 51 patients have recovered.
