Share market update: Metal shares shine; JSPL rises over 3%

NEW DELHI: Metal shares were trading with gains in Wednesday's session.

Shares of Jindal Steel & Power (up 3.49 per cent), Hindalco Industries (up 1.9 per cent), Hindustan Zinc (up 1.28 per cent), JSW Steel (up 1.28 per cent), Tata Steel (up 1.27 per cent), VEDL (up 0.89 per cent), MOIL (up 0.67 per cent) and NMDC Ltd (up 0.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Metal index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 1695.8 around 02:19PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 61.75 points at 9267.35 , while the BSE Sensex was up 214.52 points at 31668.03 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, Axis Bank, ITC, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, BHEL, RBL Bank Ltd., ONGC and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
