Cedros man found dead in bush

A 57-year-old man was discovered dead on Wednesday morning at the side of a road in Cedros.

Police said around 7 am a jogger found Kissor Motie in some bushes off Limefield Road.

Motie, who lived alone at Limefield Road, was lying about 20 feet from the road in a track leading to a shack.

His clothing was covered with blood and there was a wound to his head and blood on the road. Police said he suffered lacerations to the right forearm, a puncture wound to the neck and lacerations to the eyebrows which may have been inflicted with a sharp object.

A homicide team led by Insp Persad is investigating.
